Terms of service
The terms for App Still Works apps
These terms apply to every app App Still Works publishes, including Still Works Standing Orders and Still Works Classes. Installing an app means you agree to them.
What the apps do
App Still Works builds small apps for shops. The apps these terms cover run on Shopify stores. Still Works Standing Orders lets your store take regular pickup or local-delivery orders on a set day of the week. You set a cutoff, a limit on how many you make each day, and a calendar of days you are closed, and you get a production list for each day. The app bills each standing order through Shopify using the payment method the customer saved with Shopify, and lets customers manage their orders from their account on your store.
Still Works Classes sells seats in your classes and workshops. You set up a class, put dates on it with a seat limit and a cutoff, and the product page shows those dates. A seat is bought through your store's own checkout as an ordinary order; the app puts the student on a roster, sends the class emails, and lets students cancel inside the window you set. The app never charges or refunds anyone. The apps run inside Shopify and depend on Shopify being up.
What you are responsible for
- Accurate settings. The pickup and delivery days, cutoff times, limits, and closed dates you enter are what your customers see and what the app bills against. Keep them accurate.
- Honoring orders. When the app creates and bills a standing order, you agree to fill it on the day the customer chose, or to cancel and refund it through Shopify if you cannot. When a student buys a seat in a class, you agree to hold that seat on that date, or to refund the order through Shopify if the class is cancelled or moved and the new time does not suit them.
- Your customers. Your relationship with your customers is yours to look after: your own refund policy, your own privacy notice, and any local rules about food, delivery, or subscriptions that apply to your business.
- Your account. Anyone who can get into your Shopify admin can change the app's settings. Be careful who has that access.
Billing for the app
App plans are billed through Shopify and show up on your Shopify bill. The plans and prices are the ones on the app's listing in the Shopify App Store when you subscribe. We do not take a cut of your orders or your subscription revenue. If a plan price changes, Shopify will ask you to approve the new price before it takes effect. Refunds for app charges are handled case by case. Email us and tell us what happened.
Uninstalling
When you uninstall Still Works Standing Orders, the standing orders it manages are cancelled 48 hours later, and the app's copy of your data is deleted at the same time. Before you uninstall, export your standing orders from the app's settings page. The app also emails an export to the store owner the moment you uninstall. When you uninstall Still Works Classes, the orders stay in Shopify; the app emails the store owner a file of every upcoming booking and deletes its own copy 48 hours later. After 48 hours the data cannot be brought back. Details are on the support page.
Limits on liability
The apps are provided as they are. We work hard to keep them running correctly, but we cannot promise they will never have a bug, an outage, or a missed charge, and we cannot control Shopify or your payment provider. To the fullest extent the law allows, App Still Works is not liable for lost sales, lost profits, spoiled product, or any indirect or consequential loss that comes from using an app. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you paid for the app in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that the law says cannot be limited.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms. If a change matters, the effective date at the top changes and merchants with the app installed hear about it by email first. We may suspend or end an app's service to a store that uses it to break the law or Shopify's terms, or that abuses the app or our support. You can stop using an app at any time by uninstalling it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute that cannot be settled by email will be brought in the state or federal courts in Salt Lake County, Utah.
